Founded in 1990, the LOVELACE CLINIC FOUNDATION (LCF) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that was formed to foster health services research among Lovelace Health System's physicians and allied healthcare providers. Over the last decade, the LOVELACE CLINIC FOUNDATION has continued to focus on interventions to improve health and health care delivery while expanding to include continuing professional education, research related to environmental health and, more recently, information technology. Federal and state grants, private foundation awards and pharmaceutical and device companies support the LOVELACE CLINIC FOUNDATION research. A Board of Directors that includes the President & Executive Director, the Lovelace Sandia Health System administrators and physicians, and members of the Albuquerque community govern the LOVELACE CLINIC FOUNDATION. LOVELACE CLINIC FOUNDATION is an accredited provider of continuing education for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

NM Chili   New Mexico Coalition for Health Information Leadership Initiatives

NM CHILI provides a collaborative forum for public and private members of the New Mexico health care industry to educate and achieve consensus on health information technology issues and opportunities, demonstrating leadership that improves health outcomes and reduces the cost of health care delivery and financing in New Mexico.

NMHIC is a three-year, community-wide (and eventually statewide) effort, led by Lovelace Clinic Foundation and its partners in the community, to develop a health information exchange to allow privacy-protected sharing of electronic health data across organizations.  It is part of a high-priority national initiative with broad bipartisan support to improve health care quality and costs through implementing health information technology at the regional and state level.  NIHIC initially targets Bernalillo County and Taos (as the rural pilot site).  Such an exchange will allow providers and patients to have web-enabled access to complete information when and where they need it to provide high-quality and cost-effective care.  Lovelace Clinic Foundation is a non-profit community-based health research and medical education organization.

New Mexico's Health Quality Improvement Organization

The New Mexico Medical Review Association (NMMRA) is an Albuquerque-based, non-profit, physician-sponsored organization. By serving as a resource to the state's health care community and to Medicare beneficiaries, NMMRA seeks to fulfill its mission to improve the quality and protect the integrity of health care in New Mexico. NMMRA has served continuously as the state's only federally contracted Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) since 1984.

NMMRA also serves as the state's Medicaid External Quality Review Organization.

NMMS was formed in 1882 to, as our bylaws say, "secure enactment and enforcement of just medical laws, to promote friendly relations among our members, to uphold the principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, to extend medical knowledge and the standard of medical education, to uphold the obligations each member assumed under the Hippocratic Oath, all the while being cognizant of our unique influence on society."

The New Mexico Telehealth Alliance provides a forum for individuals and organization to improve the health of New Mexicans through the collaboration and sharing of health resources statewide. The Alliance seeks to enable the development and delivery of technology assisted programs that promote access, utilization and affordability of Telehealth services.

With our "Network of Networks Model" we want to provide health care services and education through the use of telehealth technology across the state of New Mexico.

NMHR, is a private, non-profit agency organized to support efforts to recruit and retain healthcare personnel in New Mexico. Founded in 1981, as a result of priorities established during the First Governor's Conference on Rural Health Services, NMHR is governed by a statewide Board of Directors representing a wide range of different healthcare professions, healthcare training programs, healthcare organizations, and healthcare consumers.

NMHR:

  • is a clearinghouse for healthcare practice opportunities;
  • is a clearinghouse for healthcare professionals;
  • provides training assistance to agencies seeking to improve their recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals.
